We provide your registration information to Onfido, one of the UK's leading identity services providers, who will verify your identity against government, public and proprietary databases including Experian, Equifax and Call Credit . These are regularly updated and a complex matrix of indicators is used to avoid false flags.

Onfido may occasionally ask you to provide government identity documents for further verification. These are checked for validity and compared with your identity check results and the personal information you supplied.

However we do occasionally receive registrations from individuals who have just moved house and not updated their core public records - causing identity verification problems for Onfido and most other financial institutions. You can always check your financial records for potential errors using one of the UK's three main credit reference agencies - www.equifax.co.uk, www.experian.co.uk or www.callcredit.co.uk. If you believe you have resolved any potential identity verification issues, you can attempt to sign up again. You may need to wait 72 hours for your account to be automatically deleted.
